WHY -

Loneliness is a significant factor contributing to student disengagement, attrition, poor mental health, and substance abuse in high schools. A recent national survey by the insurer Cigna reports 79% of Gen Z youth are lonely. With the right resources and support, loneliness can be prevented.

HOW -

Nod is an app that empowers students to build authentic social connections in high school. With engaging exercises that can easily integrate into advising or homeroom, Nod addresses the psychological underpinnings of loneliness by breaking social goals down into achievable steps.
