KOAA News5: New app to help teens battling loneliness

Posted By Trip Starkey on March 16, 2022

A story on NBC KOAA News5 in Colorado Springs reports on how a Nod pilot with 8 high schools in Colorado is looking to transcreate Nod’s efficacious and science-backed approach to curbing loneliness in college students to a high school audience. The story explores the success partnering high schools in Colorado are seeing with their students, as well as how students feel about the app as a means to address their mental health and build vital social skills.

The biggest benefit for my students is that there is no expectation of doing something. They can use it when they need, and go from where they left off,” said Berry. [Principal of East Lake High School]
